YS640 due for delivery next Monday. After having wore out a Traeger recently, I began shopping for a new smoker and discovered Yoder. Much study revealed what I anticipate will be a much better smoker than my previous experience.
Anyway we are looking forward to our new Yoder.

The beast arrived this afternoon all in good shape!
The grandson and I got it off the pallet and moved back to the patio, set up and going through the initial firing process right now.
All is going splendid so far.
The quality of this pit is outstanding! Aaron in customer service at ATBBQ is second to none.
The better half wants BB ribs and ABT's for dinner tomorrow night. I can make that happen once I get 3lbs of thick cut pepper bacon done early
tomorrow morning.
At this moment, to say I am thrilled with our new ys640 would be an understatement.

Awesome!! How did you have it configured? Is it backyard cart or comp cart?

Regular backyard cart, 16" stationary and 6" locking casters ordered, grilling grates, temp ports (2), Mavericks, no door thermometers, cover, frog mats, second lever full cooking grate, three types of rub samples. I also am picking up 1/2 ton of assorted 100% Lumber Jack pellets when they get into town. Everybody around here has the Traeger pellets, but I've already been down that road. Heck, they even sell 10lb boxes of them at King Soopers. Not much else locally I've found. But I digress...
This is going to be fun!

Ribs were great! We also did the bacon, beef sausage and ABT's. All of it was perfect.
This Yoder ys640 is far superior to anything I have ever used in the past.
Next will be an elk roast and some wild boar sausage.
Can't wait!
