Posted: December 17th, 2014, 7:31 pmMy name is Craig Brandon. I just sold my huge East Texas Smokers stick burner, which I loved, and ordered a YS1500. I have been a pellet head for many years, and at one time was a Field Rep for Traeger. I was excited to run across the 1500 for its larger size. Even though Traeger makes a much larger commercial smoker, it was out of my price range, and experience with it, I knew it was a problematic product. Having the capability to cook 30 briskets on my previous smoker, I will miss the capacity, but look forward to adding a second unit, and maybe even a third at a later date.
My wife and I operate a ministry that feeds the homeless in Dallas and Ft. Worth, so the smoker will be pressed in to service immediately on a weekly basis. I look forward to the ease of use and consistent quality that cooking with pellets provides.
