Hello from Southern California
Posted: January 24th, 2015, 4:10 pmThe family just bought me a YS640 for Christmas. I've been smoking on a Landman vertical for the last couple of years so this is a big step up. I walked into the store to look at another brand, but when I saw the Yoder I knew I had to have it. I did my first smoke on it last weekend and had the family over to thank them. The Tank, as I call it, did 4 trip tip roasts, 7 lbs of wings and 40 jalapeño poppers with ease! I was extremely impressed and know I have years of some good food ahead of me.
I have a question though. I would love for Yoder to customize something for me to put on the smoker. I'm sure some have had it done. I was hoping to see some pics of some to get some ideas as to where to put it. I was thinking on the front plate of the cart. I don't have the competition cart, but both sides of the cart say Yoder Smokers. I think I would like the front to say something to personalize it to me. This bad boy is now part of the family and will be for a long time.
I was also wondering how difficult it would be to add a couple of probe ports. I'm semi-handy so I think I could do it.
